What kind of design services do you provide?
What kind of design services do you provide? Our design services range from office templates, print and exhibits to web interfaces/templates and interactive multimedia presentations. Give us a call to see what we can do for you. What do you charge for your design services?Prices depend on many variants but you can be sure that the money you're paying is for high-quality, uncompromised work. We encourage you to compare our prices with designers producing the same level of work. You can also download the 2006 National Survey of Salaries & Billing Practices of Graphic Designers available on the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada website to get an idea of what others are charging. What types of payment do you accept? We accept business checks, personal checks and money orders. What is your billing process?Depending on the project size and duration as well as how long we have been working together, our billing process is an initial 20% upon proposal agreement, 40% halfway through the project and 40% upon completion and final file delivery. For long-term hourly rate projects or ongoing website maintenance, we bill on a monthly basis. What can I do to save on my design project? The best way to save on your design project is doing it right the first time. Before you start with any design ideas, know your objective and your target market. Finalize your copy and determine what imagery would best convey the message as this will determine the delivery medium and final file size. If you are designing for print, keep your colors in check. The more colors you have the more expensive it is to print. Considerable savings can be achieved by using royalty free images instead of custom or stock imagery and sticking to standard paper size. How involved can I be in the design process? We thoroughly discuss the project at hand with you from the beginning and encourage you to bring in any samples, color combinations/swatches, images and ideas you may have. A successful design project requires team effort and coordination between copy, layout and imagery to the final delivery medium, be it print, exhibits, web or multimedia presentation. During the design process, we ask you to approve certain milestones before work continues. Our main goal is to achieve a balanced look that is loyal to your brand and aligned with your target market. Where can I find images to use for my project? If you are selling a product and do not have any images on hand, we can refer you to a professional photographer in your area. Other options include Stock and Royalty Free images which can be purchased online. How will I receive my design project once it is finished?A finished project is yours upon receipt of final payment. At your request, we will supply the electronic files to you on CD or through e-mail. We also keep a copy on file for future edits or updates. Who owns the copyright for work Target Creatives has done for me?Copyright is yours upon receipt of final payment. We do, however, reserve the right to use any work for promotional purposes. Who will take care of the printing?Target Creatives can refer you to our printers of choice. To ensure quality and reduced printing costs, it is best to discuss different options with the print shop sales representative right from the start. The sales representative can recommend available paper stock rather than custom orders and the most economical size for your project. A down payment is usually expected with new clients. I have a rush design project, can you help me?We can usually accommodate your rush job depending on the schedule. Additional charges will apply. Does my business need a website?Over 71% of North Americans are connected to the Internet and the number is rising by the minute. Ask yourself, would your business benefit from nonstop exposure to your target market at their convenience and provide a source of direct correspondence from them to you at such a low cost? The benefits are numerous. Can you register my domain name for me?Your domain name is your address in cyberspace, and often it is the only way someone knows how to contact you. It is important that you keep good track of it and keep your contact information updated on your domain record so that nothing happens to it. Target Creatives can guide you through the process of registering your name, help you find a web host, upload your files to their server and manage your updates. How can I save on my website? If you are starting out, try using one of the free templates provided by your web host and test it for content. This will allow you to do it yourself and get a feel of how many pages you need, what content is essential for your site and how many visitors you are getting. When you are ready to take your site to the next level, Target Creatives can help you design a customized template that reflects your brand and appeal to your target market.
